On March 29, a trio of Baldwin Creek Elementary fifth graders rallied to Rock Springs to represent Lander at the 2025 Wyoming State Spelling Bee. In a competitive field of 75 standout vocabularians, Halle Wendell Greene, Kindu Sanchez, and Eddy Osorio made Fremont County proud with a strong group showing and an impressive final oral round appearance for Greene.

RIVERTON — Bart Ringer spent 37 years as a law enforcement officer in Riverton. He never shied away from the job, and when he retired in 2009, he wasn’t willing to walk away. “I’m too old and brittle to break up bar fights anymore,” he shared at his volunteer desk at the station. “But I’m always of the opinion: The police department, we work for the people, and the people need to know what we do. That’s what keeps me coming in.”Ringer is transparency in action.
