Heart failure can lead to reduced cerebral blood flow, neurodegeneration and cognitive decline. In a mouse model of heart failure, Kritsilis et al. show that cerebral blood flow helps regulate the brain’s glymphatic system, and that heart failure can disrupt glymphatic system homeostasis.
