The World Health Organization predicts we will see more than 35 million new cancer cases by 2050, a 77% increase from the estimated 20 million cases in 2022. In a survey looking at 115 countries, the WHO also found a majority of nations don't spend enough on cancer care and treatment. "This is not the time to turn away. It's the time to double down and make those investments in cancer prevention and control," said Dr. Andre IIbawi, technical lead on cancer for the WHO.
