FAIRFAX - The BFA-Fairfax Bullets baseball team won 10-0 over the Richford Falcons on Thursday, May 15. A strong night on the mound for starting pitcher Ryan Sheehan and a dynamic night at the plate for Rylan Muehl helped lead the Bullets to a 10-run victory in six innings. After a 1-2-3 inning to start the game, BFA-Fairfax opened the scoring in the bottom of the first on a double from Reagan Baumeister.

MILTON — The No. 6 Milton Yellow Jackets girls basketball team hosted to the No. 11 Springfield Cosmos in a Division II playoff showdown on Tuesday, March 4. After a tight first quarter, the Yellow Jackets offense, led by junior forward Marlie Bushey, found its rhythm rolling to a 53-35 victory. It was a low scoring opening quarter as both teams demonstrated solid defense and worked to find their footing on offense.

HIGHGATE - The No. 6 Missisquoi Valley Union Thunderbirds boys' hockey team hosted the No. 11 Woodstock Wasps in a D2 hockey playdown on Saturday, March 1. MVU battled through three periods, ultimately taking the l6-3 loss to the Wasps. The Wasps ' strong defense kept the puck mostly in their offensive zone for much of the first period. Woodstock struck first when Reece Harriman put the rebound off a shot by Kyle Costales at 13:44.

FAIRFAX - The BFA-Fairfax girls' basketball team hosted the Richford Rockets for the annual Pink Game on Monday, Feb. 24. The Rockets, led by a game-high 27 points from Kyrielle Deuso, took the lead early never looking back, going on to earn the victory 58-34. The Bullets kicked off the scoring with a layup from Bridget McIntyre. Deuso answered for the Falcons on their next possession.

FAIRFAX - The BFA-Fairfax Bullets boys’ varsity basketball team hosted the in-county rival Richford Falcons on Tuesday, Feb. 18. The teams battled to the final buzzer, with the Falcons coming out on top 49-40. The first quarter saw the Falcons jump out to a quick 6-0 lead with baskets from Jerrick Jacobs. Rylan Muehl scored off the offensive rebound, converted the And-1 opportunity, and the Bullets were on the board, cutting the Falcons’ lead in half.

HIGHGATE - The MVU Thunderbirds boys’ hockey team hosted the Milton Yellow Jackets in round three of the “Battle for the Barn” on Saturday, Feb. 15. The Thunderbirds battled until the final buzzer but couldn’t complete the comeback, falling to the Yellow Jackets 6-2. The first period saw strong defensive play from both teams early. MVU got on the scoreboard when Beau Reynolds put one past the Milton goalie. AJ Dennett and Maddux Gagne earned the assist on the Thunderbird goal.
