    HIGHGATE - On Friday, May 30, the Missisquoi Valley Union Thunderbirds baseball team closed the regular season with an 8-3 win over Milton, maintaining their undefeated season and earning the 2025 Lake League Championship, according to the Friends of MVU Baseball Facebook page. Tabor Rich earned the win, throwing 3.1 innings while allowing three hits and striking out six. AJ Dennett started the game, throwing 3.2 innings and allowing three runs on five hits, while striking out three.
