Hotels will launch in 2026 in India’s Rishikeshbookmark_borderSave to Library The Oberoi Group is set to open two new properties on the banks of the River Ganges in the Indian city of Rishikesh. The first will be an 80-room Oberoi Resort that carries the group’s trademark ‘vilas’ name, and the second will be a Trident-branded property with 120 rooms. Both hotels will be located on a 24-hectare site surrounded by the Ganges on three sides.

Designer Travel is set to host a number of events this year, including its first festival, after reaching a new sales record of £11.7 million in January. The ‘DesignerFest’ in September will follow conferences in Abu Dhabi and Cyprus, while exclusive fams and special trips for top sellers are also in the pipeline. Managing director Amanda Matthews said last month was the first time the luxury agency had surpassed the milestone of £10 million for a month.
