Urbana’s Analog Wine Library Art Gallery is featuring two previous Boneyard Arts Festival signature artists: E.K. Anna Hennequet (EKAH) and Yeong Choi. Both artists originally came to the United States, and later to the Champaign-Urbana area, from South Korea, bringing with them distinct cultural influences that have shaped their unique artistic styles and career paths. In this Dual Spectrum Exhibition, each artist showcased an image of their respective Boneyard Arts Festival signature work.

In one corner we have the Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin, champ for the imperial cause of lies, vainglory and ruination; in the other, Vitali Klitschko, Ukraine’s multiple world heavyweight champion turned Kyiv mayor and defender of its democratic aspirations.

Urbana’s Gallery Art Bar was packed when I arrived for the June 4th reception for June’s artists in residence, photographers Ace’lyn Henderson and Claire Daly. While waiting to order my beer, I started viewing the art exhibition on display. The installation and lighting were dramatically artistic. I had a chance to speak with Daly, who deploys a unique way of mounting and displaying her art photography. Daly is a busy artist.
