We booked this vacation with one day’s notice. Which meant I purchased exactly 0 things for this trip, and for the first time ever, showed up to the beach without a fresh pedicure. And I’m glad to report, that I survived. My suitcase (which magically halved in size…) consisted of mostly Doen dresses and Eres swim suits. This hat served me well, and I reluctantly, and rationally, left a second hat at home, opting for the one above because it provided optimal coverage from the sun.

It’s April, so naturally the forecast is showing rain, and a lot of it. Which for me, means, spoiler… sweatshirts and nylon outerwear. After years of avoiding weather appropriate attire, I have finally accepted that rain is a constant in life. The most reliable outfit in my book: jeans, a t-shirt and a leather jacket. I’ve been wearing some iteration of this uniform for the past month, and it works every time.
