The fashion industry is still reeling from President Donald Trump’s “Liberation Day” announcement on Wednesday of new US tariffs that haveglobal fashion brands, manufacturers and emerging businesses around the world grappling with how to respond. Trump reportedly scheduled the announcement on April 2 to avoid it being perceived as an April Fool’s Day joke.
