The easiest way to get your credit card’s annual fee waived is to call your issuer and ask. This won’t work for everyone, but it’s worth trying if you really can’t justify paying the annual fee. If an issuer initially refuses to waive your annual fee, there are negotiation tactics you can use to push the issue further, including getting them to waive the fee due to a competitor match or getting them to offer other perks equal in value to a fee waiver.
