Harvard is "committed to fighting antisemitism and other forms of bigotry in its community" and will continue to do so, as it "remains open to dialogue" on its past and future plans "to improve the experience of every member of its community," a letter from two attorneys representing the school read.

A 25-year-old man from Springfield accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a child while armed with a gun was arrested on Friday. Hector Lopez was taken into custody on Boston Road in connection with the reported crimes, at around 6:20 p.m. on April 11, according to the Springfield Police Department. The investigation began April 9 after a reported sexual assault of a child — whom police say is known to Lopez — came into the department.
