The witness, simply identified as DDD for security reasons, disclosed this before Justice James Omotosho in continuation of his testimony in the ongoing terrorism trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the IPOB.

    President Bola Tinubu has visited victims of last Friday’s attack by armed herders on Yelwata, in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. The attack reportedly claimed over 100 lives. The patients are recuperating at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital. Tinubu arrived at the Nigeria Air Force Base Airport in Makurdi at about 12:58 pm on a condolence visit to Benue State.

    Personnel of the Nigeria Navy Ship (NNS) Delta have busted a ring of oil thieves in Delta with three suspects arrested. Parading two suspects and recovered items at the Warri Naval Base on Wednesday, the Commander of NNS Delta, Commodore Abdulazeez Zubairu, said that the suspects were arrested by the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Escravos anti-crude oil theft team.

    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, ahead of his visit to the Yelwata community, in the Guma Local Government Area of the state where the recent killings occurred. Tinubu arrived at the Tactical Air Command, Nigerian Air Force Base, Makurdi, at about 12:58 pm. The state government declared a public holiday for the visit. The President is expected to meet with major stakeholders in the state in view of the violent attacks that have led to the loss of lives.
