Sumner’s Rhubarb Days Festival is happening on Main Street in downtown Sumner from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 21 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 22. Central Pierce Fire and Rescue Crews spent hours fighting a large commercial fire Sunday in Orting. According to a Facebook post from Central Pierce Fire & Rescue Monday morning, the fire happened in the 13000 block of 142nd Avenue East. The fire started at about 7:30 p.m.When crews arrived at the scene, they found “a warehouse with pressurized smoke coming from all sides of the structure,” the post said.
