Puyallup residents who have wanted a bookstore for years are seeing their dream come true. Bundok Books has opened its doors at 3827 S. Meridian, where The Tux Shop used to be. According to an April 12 Facebook post, the bookstore launched a soft opening on April 26. It’s the third bookstore to announce an opening in Puyallup this year. A bookstore called page & pine, is set to open in June at 207 W. Stewart Ave., next to Firehouse Pet Shop. A Barnes & Noble is also set to open at the South Hill Mall.

A legal gun owner was looking to sell his AR-15 – but when he arranged to meet up with a potential buyer at the Spanaway Safeway, chaos ensued. According to a Facebook post from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was in the Safeway parking lot at 15805 Pacific Ave S when a car with four people – two juveniles and two young adults – drove up beside him. One of the suspects allegedly pointed a gun at the victim’s head and demanded he hand over the rifle.
