An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center died Wednesday evening, the Missouri Department of Corrections said. Kevin Hausmann, 72, was pronounced deceased at 9:12 p.m. in a medical unit at the prison in Licking. He was serving a life sentence for one count of first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy out of Barry County. He had been in prison since November 2021. An autopsy will be conducted, authorities said.

A Houston High School graduate has been promoted to sergeant in the Missouri State Highway Patrol and will oversee a zone in Webster County. Timothy Mosley, a native of Houston, graduated from HHS in 1996. Mosley was appointed to the patrol on June 29, 2003, as a member of the 81st Recruit Class. After graduating the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop F, Zone 5, serving Camden and Miller counties. In April 2014, Mosley transferred to Troop D, Zone 10.
