A man has been arrested after a car ploughed into crowds of Liverpool fans during the team's Premier League victory parade. Dozens of people have been taken to hospital after the car crashed into the crowd in Water Street, Liverpool city centre, on Bank Holiday Monday. Two of those taken to hospital, including a child, suffered serious injuries, Dave Kitchin from the North West Ambulance Service told a press conference on Monday night.

Five people have reportedly been injured after a tornado swept through southern Chile and destroyed several buildings. The tornado hit the city of Puerto Varas at around 3.30pm local time on Sunday, bringing wind speeds of 86 to 111 miles per hour, BNO News reported. So far it's believed that the tornado made 'moderate damage' to the city, including severely damaged roofs, overturned vehicles and kiosks, broken windows, and loss of doors.

A police officer who was left seriously injured in a crash while on duty has been named by Thames Valley Police. Pc Christopher Miller, who works on the force's Roads Policing Unit, was injured after he was involved in a crash with a white BMW vehicle on the B416 Bells Hill, in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, last Thursday evening. He remains in hospital where he is in a critical condition, Thames Valley Police has said. His family and his colleagues are being supported by family liaison officers.
