The mystery surrounding Spain's 'House of Horrors' is growing as it emerged local authorities are still trying to track down other relatives of the three children who were rescued. German freelance tech recruiter Christian Steffen, 53, and his American-born wife Melissa Ann Steffen, 48, were held last Monday after being accused of keeping their two eight-year-old twin boys and 10-year-old son locked up inside their home in Oviedo in Asturias for almost four years.

Eight people have been arrested in connection with two separate terrorism investigations in 24 hours, police have said. London's Metropolitan Police said five people were arrested yesterday on suspicion of preparation of a terrorist act after detectives uncovered a suspected plot to 'target a specific premises.'Police have refused to name the location. Four of the men are Iranian nationals while the fifth man's identity has not yet been identified, police said. The men are being held in custody.

The boyfriend of Holly Newton has described the moment he fought off her attacker and tried to save her after she was attacked by her ex. Alan Lawson, 18, was stabbed four times by Logan MacPhail after he attacked Holly in an alleyway near a pizza parlour. MacPhail was found guilty of murder at Newcastle Crown Court last August and handed a life sentence with a minimum term of 17 years at the same court in October.

A Japanese and Korean food brand is recalling batches of its sushi ginger over fears it contains pieces of glass. Kelly Loves, which sells products such as kimchi, noodles and sauces, is urging people to return the jars as soon as possible. The Food Standards Agency (FSA), which issued the recall, said the affected product was sold in ASDA and Waitrose. It described the product as 'unsafe to eat'. It adds: 'If you have bought any of the above product do not eat it.

Dozens of people have been killed or injured after a fire broke out at a club in North Macedonia. According to local media reports, the fire broke out at around 3am local time this morning at Club Pulse in Kocani. The blaze broke out and spread to the ceiling and roof of the club, which burned quickly. Footage posted on social media shows a building up in flames and smoke billowing up into the night sky.
