On Monday night, the Cowboys’ list of transfer portal departures continued to grow, with wide receiver Kyler Pearson putting his name in the mix. Oklahoma State is losing one of its promising quarterbacks. On Monday, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that OSU quarterback Maealiuaki Smith is entering the transfer portal. Smith played only one season with the Cowboys but was used late in the season after injuries devastated the position. One of the most promising players in OSU’s recruiting class coming into last season, Smith was seen as a potential quarterback of the future in Stillwater.

Oklahoma State continues to lose players to the transfer portal. On Saturday, Khalil Brantley entered the transfer portal, according to a report from Sam Kayser. Brantley spent just one season at OSU and will be heading to his third school next season. Last season, Brantley was a solid player for the Cowboys and was a key part of the team’s rotation throughout the year. He played in 34 games for the Cowboys and started 14 times in his lone year in Stillwater.

Cade Cunningham’s playoff debut didn’t go as planned, but he has a chance to bounce back. On Saturday, the Detroit Pistons lost Game 1 of their first-round matchup against the New York Knicks 123-112. After holding a lead off and on during the first three quarters, the Pistons took an eight-point advantage into the final frame and looked to be in good position to steal the opening game. Instead, the Knicks would go on a 21-0 run in the fourth quarter to seize control and earn a win in Game 1.
