    Oklahoma State is losing another quarterback to the portal. On Wednesday, OSU quarterback Garret Rangel entered the transfer portal, according to a report from Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. After three years with the program, Rangel will be looking for a new home next season. Last season looked to be Rangel’s time to take over as the starting quarterback following a rough start to conference play for OSU. With a bye week to prepare for BYU, the Cowboys opted to bench Alan Bowman and go with Rangel.

This time, North Carolina transfer DeAndre Boykins committed, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos. Boykins, a cornerback, gives the Cowboys some more help in the secondary. Last season, Boykins played in 11 games for the Tar Heels but had a limited role after missing the entire 2023 season with an injury suffered in preseason camp.

    Oklahoma State has added another impact player from the portal. On Tuesday, OSU secured a commitment from transfer Darius Thomas, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos. Thomas spent his past two seasons playing at Western Kentucky and had originally transferred to Louisville this offseason before re-entering the portal. Thomas comes to Stillwater after having an impressive season for the Hilltoppers.

    Oklahoma State’s kicking situation will look a bit different going into next season. On Monday, OSU kicker David Arriaga announced that he has entered the transfer portal. Arriaga joined the team before the 2024 season but never played for the Cowboys last year. Arriaga came to OSU in 2024 as a walk-on from Midwest City and took a redshirt in his first season of college football.

For as good as Minnesota’s defense has been in the fourth, its offense has been consistently worse. This game easily could’ve gone differently if Anthony Edwards was impactful in any way.
