In recent years, the transfer of more than one embryo has become less frequent to diminish multiple pregnancies. Even so, there is still a risk of one embryo splitting into two or even three. This report presents the case of a triamniotic monochorionic gestation in a 35-year-old woman, obtained after the transfer of a single day 5 embryo that had been previously hatched with a laser and subsequently transferred in a fresh IVF cycle.

Fertility awareness, defined as the understanding of reproduction, fecundity, fecundability, and related risk factors (Zegers-Hochschild et al., 2017), is not homogeneous among people of reproductive age. Increasing fertility awareness can positively influence decisions about childbearing, especially considering the natural decline in fertility with age (Pedro et al., 2018; Harper et al., 2021).

The application of AI in the field of embryology has already proven effective in assessing the quality of fresh embryos. Therefore, it could also be useful to predict the outcome of frozen embryo transfers, some of which do not recover their pre-vitrification volume, collapse, or degenerate after warming without prior evidence. This retrospective cohort study included 1109 embryos from 792 patients.
