LIV Golf hosted a special media day at Bolingbrook Golf Club on Tuesday, offering an exclusive preview of what fans can expect when LIV Golf Chicago returns to Bolingbrook this coming Aug. 8. The event brought together community leaders, local students and media. Legion XIII star Caleb Surratt headlined the day with an interactive putting clinic for area high school golf students, sharing on-the-green insights and pro tips.

Earlier this week, the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association released its 2025 IHSBCA All-State Team. Players were nominated by their coaches and then selected by the IHSBCA board. In Class 4A, both Minooka and Providence Catholic had two players selected as IHSBCA All-State – Minooka seniors CJ Deckinga and Brayden Zillis; and Providence Catholic seniors Enzo Infelise and Nate O’Donnell.

The Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association earlier this week released the 2025 IHSBCA All-State Team. Players were nominated by their coaches and then selected by the IHSBCA board. Class 1A state champion Marquette had two players make the Class 1A All-State Team – senior Sam Mitre and defending IHSBCA 1A Player of the Year Alec Novotney.

The first part of the 2025 season didn’t go precisely as planned for Ottawa High junior Evan Krafft and senior Noah Gross. The duo’s season finished pretty darn well though. Gross and Krafft are the 2025 Times Boys Tennis Players of the Year.
