The Jellico Municipal Planning Commission met on Tuesday night and approved a rezoning request for Chris Anderson on South Main Street from R-2 to C-2. The request will now go before the Jellico Board of Mayor and Aldermen for it to be voted on.

According to Effler, the criminal division of his office has 35 full-time employees and 17 full-time assistant district attorneys.

The Campbell County High School soccer team fell to Halls 7-2 at home on April 24. Halls put together an excellent start to the game as it got out in its attack early and made Campbell County pay.

The Jellico High School baseball season came to an end on Monday night in a 19-9 district tournament play in game loss at Sunbright. Jellico dominated the game early and took the fight to Sunbright with good hitting and defense.

Jellico High School basketball player Trey Vann was recently named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-State team for his phenomenal performances during his junior season. "Being named to the TSWA All-State team was an incredible honor," Vann said. "As a freshman, I was barely playing varsity, and in just two years, I became the first junior in Jellico history to make the All-State team. It's something I've worked hard for, so to see that recognized means a lot to me.
