The committee agreed to set aside $12,000 for the building and $5,000 for the tools to finish construction on the building.

RUSSELL [email protected] The Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen met on Monday night and approved the payment of audit fees in the amount of $25,000 to Mitchell Emert & Hill, P.C. for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025, and running through June 30, 2026. The board discussed the purchase of two radar units for the police department for $4,898.34 from the 2024-2025 THSO grant.
York signs with Milligan University

Campbell County High School track and field star Landon York signed with Milligan University on April 11 to continue his athletic and academic future. "Honestly, I always thought I wanted a bigger college, but the size of Milligan, it feels just like Campbell County. It feels like home," York said. "I think the thing that mainly drew me to it was the people at Milligan. They are so nice and welcoming. I don't think I've ever been to a college like that."

Woodson resigns from county planning commission

In his letter Woodson noted how much he enjoyed serving on the commission but that it was time for him to step down and let someone younger step in and serve.
LaFollette planning approves multiple projects

The LaFollette Planning Commission met on March 27 and approved amending C-2 Highway business districts to allow retail package stores. The commission approved the closure of a street in 113 North Mountain Lane at the request of Aaron Shoupes and Chelsea Shoupes.
