The Campbell County High School softball team scored two runs in the seventh but could not complete the comeback in a 5-2 loss at South-Doyle on April 17. "The last time we played them, we had an error-fest, and we beat ourselves," CCHS head softball coach Nikki Creech said. "They had six hits last time and 11 runs. That's just us beating ourselves. I think we had seven or eight errors. This time, I've been telling the girls: we've got to have one inning. We've got to keep it short.

In the bottom of the first, Bell County got out to a 1-0 lead with an RBI double - but the batter was out at third base when he tried to stretch it into a triple.
