Advertisement Heritage Snippets of SarawakBy J. H. WalkerDatu Patinggi Abdul Gapur is unique in Sarawak’s history for having been exiled for derhaka (treason) not once, but twice. He is also unique in the history of the entire Malay world for not having been executed for his crime, which was considered so heinous that anyone who committed it, all of their relatives, all of their descendants, their houses and even the soil on which their houses stood, were to be expunged from this earth of mankind.

At fourteen, I never thought this was the beginning of a career that would span nearly five decades, working in eight states, allowing me to travel the world, impact others’ careers, and have them impact mine even more. As many know, the dish/pot sinks are the true heart of a kitchen operation.
