I am sure most of us would have seen this movie. With the outstanding script, veteran actors playing out, and SD Burman’s music putting everything together, it was a blockbuster and a wholesome movie. The movie was based on RK Narayan’s book “The Guide” which came in 1958 and went on to become a bestselling book. It also won the author major “Sahitya Akademi Award” and when made into a film it won him the “Filmfare Award” for the best story.

Pop Culture Jaane Jaan Is A Riveting Watch, But Largely Driven By The Male Gaze Jaane Jaan is a great standalone flick, but a lot of it could have been handled better, and from the POV of the main character. Jaane Jaan is a thriller streaming on Netflix and is adapted from Keigo Higashino’s book, ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’. I found the film to be riveting, with a nail-biting build-up. However, in my personal opinion, the climax and the treatment of the female lead was a letdown.

A puppy with six legs was discovered abandoned in a supermarket parking lot in Pembrokeshire. The 11-week-old female spaniel had extra hind limbs and two vulvas. People have raised over £2,000 to surgically remove her extra back legs, although there’s a risk of losing one of her remaining “normal” back legs during the process. A kind passer-by found the distressed pup and took her to Greenacres Rescue near Haverfordwest.
