    Olav Kooij (Visma-Lease a Bike) won Stage 1 of the 2024 Paris-Nice from a very close sprint against Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek), in what had been a complicated final couple of kilometres with a late rise. Laurence Pithie (Groupama-FDJ) came across for third. Pedersen had been on the front and in the wind for a long time but looked like he might hold everyone off, that was until Kooij came alongside and just managed to pip him to the line.

    Marianne Vos (Visma-Lease a Bike) won the 2024 women's Omloop Het Nieuwsblad with a dominant sprint, making it a double day for her team. Vos came to the line with pre-race favourite and current world champion Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx-Protime), Elisa Longo Borghini (Lidl-Trek) and Shirin van Anrooij (Lidl-Trek).

    Jan Tratnik (Team Visma-Lease a Bike) won the 2024 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad in a two-up sprint with Nils Politt (UAE Team Emirates). It was the rider who finished second who'd done the majority of the work to keep the chasing group at bay, but then had nothing left for the sprint.
