    That's according to a new study from Bangor University, which highlighted the urgent need for domestic forestry expansion and improved management to meet growing wood demand sustainably. With as little as 20 per cent of the UK's timber needs met by home-grown wood, researchers found the country faces risks from fluctuating global prices and long-term “wood security” concerns.
