    If you were walking or driving downtown this past Saturday, you were probably overrun by a sea of students dressed as bananas. These bananas, which are not a common sight in downtown Clemson, were part of the Banana Bar Crawl. Started in Canadian universities by MOSEA, a marketing agency,, the Banana Bar Crawl was inspired by a viral TikTok and has since gathered North American notoriety, even partnering with Happy Dad and Barstool Sports.

    During my freshman year here at Clemson, our student body had bought enough tickets for the Up & Up Festival to come to our school. This Monster Energy-sponsored festival brought big-name EDM artists to Clemson and fostered a unique collaboration between these large names and our local artists. I remember seeing the first Clemson Music Fest being promoted throughout campus and on social media.

    Coming from the flatlands of Florida and arriving in Clemson, my legs were appalled to find the number of hills on this campus. As a freshman, I remember feeling as if everywhere I went, I was walking uphill. However, as time went on, I adjusted to these hills and utilized Tiger Transit. Since I lived on campus, it was quite easy to call a Tiger Transit bus and hop on one of the many available routes. But, it was moving off campus where my challenges began.

    When Clemson students opened their phones, I know many felt shock, disappointment or maybe even anger. Clemson vs. South Carolina being a noon game dissatisfied many people I spoke to. Clemson students seem to be tired of the noon games and miss the days of frequent afternoon and night games. But, it was especially concerning when two ranked, historic rivals were announced to be a noon game.
