As production for the June issue of Portable Plants neared the finish line, I spent a weekend in New Jersey attending the Power in the Pines airshow. The highlight of the show was, without a doubt, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Experiencing the power and precision of these six incredible pilots was awe-inspiring. Most impressive was the teamwork and coordination they displayed.

John Deere introduced the 510 P-Tier excavator model, replacing the 470 P-Tier. The new excavator sports a 9-liter John Deere Power Systems engine, delivering the same net horsepower and responsive performance as the 470 P-Tier with a 13.5-liter engine. Deere adds that the 510 P-Tier offers reduced fuel consumption compared to its predecessor, depending on application and operating speed.
