    JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (WRBL) – Wednesday night, the Glenwood Gators made more history on the baseball diamond by defeating Gordo to win the AHSAA Class 3A State Championship. The win gives Glenwood their 25th State Championship in program history, and their 11th under Head Coach Tim Fanning. The Gators brought home the title by defeating the Green Wave 7-4 in Game 1 on Tuesday, and 12-3 in the clinching game.

    MONTGOMERY, Al. (WRBL) – Three years ago, Lakeside’s baseball team was an afterthought. Now, it’s officially a powerhouse in the AISA. The Chiefs won their second straight AISA Class 1A Baseball Championship with a sweep of Patrician Academy on Wednesday at Montgomery’s Paterson Field. The Chiefs took Game 1 9-0 in part due to a great pitching performance from Demetrius Hardnett, and a seven run fourth inning to pull away.
