Lakeland Union High School in Minocqua will be closed Thursday, November 2nd due to a potential threat. On November 1st at 9:00 P.M. the Woodruff Police department was made aware of an online threat. The threat was a post on Snaphat containing a picture of a handgun with the caption "Don't come to school."Officers responded to the suspect's residence in Woodruff and spoke to the juvenile who admitted to making the post.

Earlier this morning a fire surfaced on 22 West Wisconsin Avenue in Downtown Tomahawk. The location is being reported as Nachos. Emergency services are currently on the scene. This includes at least three fire departments including Tomahawk, Nokomis, and Russell. Emergency services have requested engines from Minocqua and trucks from Rhinelander. We will continue to update as the scene unfolds through our various media platforms.
