Johnson County School District No. 1 is taking a gamble this year by giving every employee a raise using a temporary funding increase approved by the Wyoming Legislature to raise staff salaries. The raises will cost the district over $1 million. Certified staff, such as educators, will receive a $1,500 increase to their base salaries. Classified staff, mostly hourly employees such as food service workers and bus drivers, will receive a $0.75 hourly raise to their base pay.
