If you were to talk to any historian (or internet personality who is fixated with Rome), you would quickly discover that Nero was an awful Emperor. His expensive building projects nearly bankrupted the empire, had his own mother killed, and he believed himself to be an actor and participated in shows while being Emperor. Let’s go back to yesterday…Duran is seeing more and more pitches in the zone as the year goes on; he is bizarrely (and a path to further improvement) one of the worst hitters in baseball on pitches not in the zone.

This is something way out of my comfort zone and something I’ve never done at Vendetta Sports Media. The 2023-24 NBA season has been a bad one for the Memphis Grizzlies. Memphis already came into the season with a massive hill to climb because of Ja Morant‘s 25-game suspension, but just before the season started, news came out that starting center Steven Adams would miss the entire season after knee surgery. Morant came back and there was a path back to the playoffs, but shoulder surgery will cause Morant to miss the rest of the season now too. That’s not the end of Memphis’ injuries.

So far, they’ve traded away their longest-tenured arm in Chris Sale for infielder Vaughn Grissom, signed Lucas Giolito to a short-term rehabilitation deal, acquired outfielder Tyler O’Neill from the Cardinals and traded outfielder Alex Verdugo to the rival New York Yankees. In November, Red Sox Chairman Tom Werner VOWED the team would go “full throttle” during this offseason.
