When Finn Penter hung six posters outside a lecture theatre at his university, he had no idea it would lead to a formal reprimand. Finn, a member of the University of Western Australia's (UWA) student guild, hung the posters to alert others to changes in university regulations that he believes would limit students right to protest. The six posters bore the slogans "free speech is under attack" and "clubs are under attack".

In his first interview since losing his seat, ousted member of parliament Max Chandler-Mather says rumours of the Greens' demise have been overstated. The high-profile MP lost the inner-city Brisbane seat of Griffith to Labor candidate Renee Coffey on Saturday. He told triple j Hack he has no regrets about his three years in parliament. "Parliament is a sick place," Mr Chandler-Mather said.

Former Hockeyroo Rosie Malone and seven-time Australian Olympic medallist Libby Trickett have both called for change following sexist comments towards the Matildas made by former Triple M host Marty Sheargold. During a sports report on his Monday afternoon show, Sheargold compared the Matildas to a Year 10 team, and said he would "rather hammer a nail through the head of [his] penis" than watch them play. The comments went viral on social media after being shared by Malone.

It's something most kids take for granted, but throughout their young lives, the Gold Coast boys had strictly limited their intake of water because they were born with kidney disease.
