Dates have been announced when area cities, including Killeen, Harker Heights and Copperas Cove, will implement Stage 4 water restrictions later this month when massive pipes carrying drinking water to the population are replaced with new pipes. The restrictions are the result of a plan from Bell County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 - the top water supplier for Killeen, much of Bell County and parts of southern Coryell County - to fix problematic piping at the end of May.

In a message to customers Friday, Cadence Bank said it was having problems with online and mobile banking. "Access to Online and Mobile Banking is temporarily unavailable," the bank said in a Facebook post Friday morning. "We are working diligently to restore access and apologize for this inconvenience. In the meantime, you can view your current balance at a Cadence Bank ATM or Live Teller.
