KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Kearney Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page stated they put out a structure fire on Monday afternoon at a residence in a mobile home park in the 2900 block of Grand AvenueAll five occupants were uninjured. The KVFD was dispatched at 3:20 p.m. Monday after a report of smoke and flames coming out a bedroom. Once there, fire crews reported heavy smokes and flames coming from the structure.

KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - A four vehicle accident on Interstate 80 Eastbound near Exit 272 at around 12:35 a.m. Tuesday morning resulted in only minor injuries according the Nebraska State Patrol. The accident did lead to a closure of the road until 1:45 a.m. until the scene could be cleared. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Hastings - Front desk services are unavailable for the Hastings Police Department, Hastings Fire and Rescue, Administration, Finance, Development Services, Hastings Utilities, Parks and Recreation, the Hastings Public Library and the Solid Waste Landfill. 911 and utility emergency services will remain available.

MERRICK COUNTY, Neb. (KSNB) -Merrick County Sheriff Deputies responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Highway 30 near 6th Road on Tuesday. Their investigation concluded that a black GMC SUV was traveling westbound on Highway 30 approaching 6th Road when the vehicle crossed the center line. The SUV then overcorrected, causing it to leave the road, enter the north ditch and roll over. Four occupants were in the vehicle and had minor non-life threatening injuries.
