Carl Richardson is among the thousands of volunteers this week at the US Open. Traveled out here on Tuesday. I've worked every day Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and today. Richardson currently lives in New York but is originally from Western Pennsylvania, *** town called Portage.

    The Susquehanna Valley has seven teams playing in state championship games over the next three days at Penn State. Up first this afternoon was the PIAA class 4A softball championship between the Kennard-Dale Rams and Valley View Cougars. The Rams were trying to become the first York-Adams League team to win a state softball championship in 17 years. They held the Kennard-Dale offense to just two hits. The Rams fall in their first-ever state championship, 6-0. "The fact that we got here was awesome.

    Having the opportunity to represent your country on an international stage is a dream for many athletes. Palmyra native Joey McInerney is getting to live out the dream in a big way. McInerny comes from a volleyball family. “I have three younger siblings that all play volleyball. My dad got us all into it. My mom plays,” McInerney said.
