    ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - A new study is giving Albemarle County leaders a better idea of how growth is impacting its budget. The data shows that growth in Albemarle County may not be paying for itself. UVA’s Weldon Cooper Center studied the issue, and found that in 2022, residential development cost the county about $82 million more than it brought in. “It lets everybody know how things cost,” said Albemarle Supervisor Bea-Lapisto Kirtley.
