It’s time for our boys volleyball athlete of the week voting. This week, and every week during the volleyball season, we will nominate a handful of standouts for the honors. To be nominated for the voting, we need results from the home coaches after the games. Coaches have been asked to submit results to [email protected]. We will handle the results from there. This week’s ballot opened on Monday and closes on Friday at 11:59 p.m. Voting must be done via the ballot below.

BOSTON — Breathe, Red Sox Nation. Boston has the front row on the MLB roller coaster through the first three series of the 2025 season. It’s exhilarating, isn’t it? These Red Sox certainly look like they could play meaningful baseball this fall. And that’s a return to normalcy for the region. They’ve had downtrodden years, and a falling attendance rate, since 2019.

The Boston Red Sox are playing host for the first time this season. It’s the 114th Opening Day from Fenway Park as Boston welcomes the St. Louis Cardinals for a three-game set. Providence Journal sports reporter, Bill Koch, is in Boston as the Red Sox aim for a third straight win. After a slow start against the Texas Rangers, Boston won back-to-back games against the Baltimore Orioles for its first series win of the year.

Jamion Christian has been named the 10th head coach in Bryant men's basketball history. Christian was most recently coaching Pallacanestro Trieste of the Italian Professional Basketball League. Christian replaces Phil Martelli Jr., who left Bryant to take the head coaching job at VCU. SMITHFIELD — The interest was mutual and the negotiations were seamless. Bill Smith had a candidate in mind when the Bryant men’s basketball head coaching position opened.
