The Titan Arum is a large, beautiful, and rare flower. It blooms only once every 10 years and is only in bloom for two to three days. It has a large yellow spike (over 9 feet tall), surrounded by a large petal-like collar which is green to cream on the outside and deep burgundy on the inside. It can be found only in the rainforests on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Wow, that sounds amazing, you say.

The training helps us to help the applicants in their journey towards performance excellence. However, my performance did not start out well. You see, I had just received a new laptop less than 24 hours prior to this meeting.

I mean, my CEO is from Kansas, the company I work for is the largest provider of senior care in Kansas, and when you go to Kansas, you can eat outstanding steaks and barbeque. What’s not to love? So, there I was in Tampa on Super Bowl Sunday, in my Kansas City Chiefs jersey, covered in hot wing sauce, ready for that third championship. As you know, that did not happen. Actually, it like majorly did not happen.

As everyone is aware by now, the new administration has put a halt to all external communications from federal health agencies. We are on an information blackout. Total darkness. This information halt includes health advisories, weekly scientific reports, website updates and social media posts.
