TAMPA, Fla — As the summer stormy season approaches, South Tampa residents like David Adams are preparing for what this year may bring. "Last year we had 10 different storms that caused flooding in our neighborhood," Adams shared. “When these hard, heavy rainstorms come, we get water that's like 20 to 25 inches deep, and it's just terrible.”The issue of flooding is not new for Adams. His garage flooded in 2015, leading him to advocate for solutions alongside the City of Tampa.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFTS) — Boys and Girls Club of Greater Tampa Bay is opening up to serve more families this summer. The Children's Board of Hillsborough County awarded nearly $500,000 to the organization. The extra money will provide an additional 422 summer slots across nine standalone locations: Belmont, Brandon, Dover, Freddie Solomon, Garcia Salesian, Riverview, Temple Terrace, West Plant City, and Wimauma. Brandon Evans is preparing to welcome students to the Garcia Salesian Center.

RUSKIN, Fla. — People who live along Shell Point Road West in Ruskin want immediate action following a car crash that claimed the lives of a family of four on Sunday evening. Mark Larson lives just doors down from the Shell Point West and 32nd Street NW intersection. For years, his home security cameras have captured footage of numerous incidents, including the deadly crash Sunday evening. "We keep telling them over and over and over again, there are car accidents here. The speed is excessive.
