This looks way better than it did before. Jeremy Sochan's jump shot is looking much smoother these days, and that's a game-changer for the Spurs. The Polish Prince has become known for his hard work, selflessness, and dedication to improving his game. He's continuing that trend this offseason by working to remove the hitch from his jumper, and based on the video posted to Instagram by his trainer, Coach Moris Hadzija, he's succeeding.

The Spurs are looking to move forward, not backwards. NBA capologist, Keith Smith, wrote an offseason preview about the SAS where he mentions a few backup point guard options for the San Antonio Spurs if Chris Paul doesn't return, and Tre Jones made the list. Jones was traded to Chicago as part of a three-way deal that sent Zach LaVine to Sacramento, and brought De'Aaron Fox to the 210.

The Spurs will be just fine. Gregg Popovich has one of the most vast and successful coaching trees of any major sport in the country that we've ever seen, so why would we start questioning that tree now? Mitch Johnson has sat next to Coach Pop, learning and growing, for years. When you look around the league at some of the most successful coaches and you'll see the old man's influence everywhere.

Spurs Nation would love a deal like this. The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors continue to rage, and now Zion Williamson has been thrown into the mix. It's sensible to believe the New Orleans Pelicans want to move off Zion, and if they're willing to agree to the one proposed by The Athletic's staff, it would be one of the most obvious decisions a GM's had to make since the Lakers' general manager Rob Pelinka said yes to acquiring Luka Doncic.

These would be terrible fits for San Antonio. San Antonio has several needs from shooting to wing defenders and backup bigs, but drafting Carter Bryant with the ninth pick and Noa Essengue with the 14th as predicted in NBA.com's most recent mock draft isn't the way to address them. Both players have something to bring to the table and have the potential to do well in the league, but they aren't the prospects the Spurs should be targeting right now.
