He was stolen, along with her car, this weekend. Nantell told KETV she did a regular coffee run to Myrtle & Cypress, near North 33rd and California streets.

A 73-year-old inmate died Monday at a Lincoln corrections facility, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said. Lee Dunbar was incarcerated at the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln for multiple counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child. A cause of death has not yet been determined, but Dunbar was being treated for a medical condition, officials said. A grand jury will investigate his death, as is standard practice. CONTINUE READING

Buschini, who earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors as a senior, averaged 44.7 yards per punt, including 16 punts downed inside the 20-yard line. "I'm back." Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson announced he was returning to the Huskers in a video on social media . Johnson posted the video Sunday night after planning to enter the transfer portal . The Minneapolis native played in every one of Nebraska's games this season, starting four of them. He was second on the team with 102 carries, 523 rushing yards and 809 all-purpose yards. Johnson set career highs after tallying 35 catches for 262 yards and a touchdown.

A former Nebraska football staff member could be rejoining Matt Rhule with the Huskers, according to a report. KETV's Big Red Insider Sean Callahan reported Friday that Phil Simpson will coach outside linebackers and edge rushers for NU. Simpson was a defensive quality control coach for the Huskers in 2023, after previously coaching high school football in Florida. He played for Rhule at Temple from 2004-07. After Nebraska, Simpson was a defensive analyst for Florida State in 2024.

A Louisiana man will spend the rest of his life in an Iowa prison for a double homicide. Dequanta Zachary was found guilty of shooting and killing 36-year-old Deonte Ivory and 25-year-old Michael Anderson in October. According to investigators, Zachary, Ivory and Anderson were found to be "associates."Investigators said Ivory, from Omaha, was found dead in the area of South 29th St. and 21st Ave.
