This new Model Y appears to use the cabin camera for driver monitoring. This is exciting news. I hope other Tesla’s are updated with this - looking forward to trying it out.

When CR first tested the Tesla Model 3, we complained about the ride, seat comfort, wind noise, controls, and brakes. Boy were the Tesla fans pissed. Tesla OTOH improved all those things. No regrets.

You can't idiot-proof the world, but hands-on-the-wheel is not a good way to check for driver attention. GM, Ford, and others use cameras to see if the driver is looking at the road. That addition would make Tesla drivers safer and help prevent abuse. https://t.co/Wj6QeDecqZ
