Sac Republic FC seeks fan input for new stadium SACRAMENTO – Sacramento Republic FC is turning to fans to get their input on what they want in the new stadium in the works at the Railyards. Brand new renderings of the stadium were released on Tuesday. The club also announced that they want to transform fans' match day experience. A survey is now live on Republic FC's website and will be up for the rest of the month.

SACRAMENTO – The Golden 1 Center appears to be another carrot on the stick towards moving Sacramento State athletics up conferences. CBS13 has confirmed the Wednesday report that the Sacramento Kings are offering Sacramento State the use of G1C for men's and women's basketball home games, pending arena availability. It's all part of the effort to move the Hornets up to the Pac-12 or other stronger conference.

SACRAMENTO — The Bay Area is where it all began for the former San Francisco Giants 1st-round pick Hunter Bishop. "Being a Bay Area kid, I was super grateful and excited; no better opportunity than to be drafted by your hometown team," the San Carlos native said. However, Bishop's path to professional ball was anything but normal. Suzy Bishop, Hunter's mom and a former Olympian herself, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's in 2014.

DETROIT — The Oakland Athletics were in action on Friday for the first time since announcing they would be relocating to West Sacramento for the next three seasons once their lease is up this year with the Oakland Coliseum. The A's lost to the Tigers 5-4 in Detroit's home opener. CBS Sacramento spoke with A's players post-game about the team's move north to California's capital region, which some called shocking. Others said they were disappointed for the Oakland fanbase.
