This roster isn’t built to win a bunch of blowouts. Close games are by design and 15 of their 19 games so far have been decided by three or fewer runs.

Outside of that ugly extra-innings loss on Tuesday, the bats came through with a ton of timely hits during the homestand; three of their wins last week came after scoring the winning run in the eighth inning or later.
