TransNusa will expand to double daily services between Perth and Denpasar following the success of its route launch earlier this year. The airline, which began flying to Perth in March as its first Australian destination, will double its frequency on the route from 18 July, having already expanded to a daily service, and will continue operating its 174-seat A320-200s. Virgin Australia has appointed a new chairman as it confirms it will re-list on the ASX on 24 June. Peter Warne, a former Chair of Macquarie Group Limited, will take over as non-executive chairman from Ryan Cotton, who has headed the Virgin board since November 2020. Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) has released its Preliminary Draft Master Plan for the next 20 years. The document, which covers available facilities and infrastructure; strategic planning context; sustainability; and forward plans, provides a “cohesive roadmap for the airport precinct” as demand for aviation in Sydney is set to double over the next 25 years, said WSI CEO Simon Hickey.
