Well-known greeting card industry photographer Eddie Macdonald has been in the news this week as he was among those paying tribute to his childhood pal and former Alarm bandmate Mike Peters, who has died aged 66. The announcement on Wednesday of Mike’s death from cancer the previous day, 29 April, led to coverage on most news channels as well as a heartfelt piece from DJ Jo Wiley on BBC Radio 2 and radio stations playing the rock band’s 1983 anthem 68 Guns which he co-wrote with Eddie.
