    By Tracey Bearton and Sue MarksMay 9, 2025 Cardfactory’s preliminary results for the financial year to 31 January revealed a 6.3% increase in revenue to £542.5m from £510.0m in the year prior, plus a 6.3% rise in adjusted profit before tax up £3.9m to £66m. While growth on the gifts front increased the average transaction value, Cardfactory’s card sales also grew marginally by 0.7%.

The knitters, crocheters and crafters behind the fine British tradition of post box toppers rose to the occasion with an incredible display across the country – many can be seen on the UK Post Box Toppers And More Group Facebook page.

    Whoop whoop! There were heel kicks and dancing as this year’s finalists in the Retas Awards let the news sink in that they’re among the best greeting card retailers. You can take the girl out of Petworth but you can’t take Petworth out of the girl! Red Card and Little Red owner Sally Matson may have been away in New York when she got the email about reaching The Retas’ finals, but that just meant a special celebration.

Restructures at the retail group mean five members of the supermarket’s celebrations buying team, which won the Best Supermarket Retailer Of Greeting Cards award in The Retas 2024, taking up new roles at Argos.
