    The Met Office has said Earth was hit by a coronal mass ejection from Sunday, leading to a higher chance of the spectacular aurora displays. The aurora was visible last night but tonight may afford yet another glimpse of the light display caused by disturbances in the Earth's magnetosphere, the result of solar wind, coronal holes and coronal mass ejections.

    West Mercia Police shared the appeal following disorder at a Birmingham City and Shrewsbury Town game. West Midlands Police want to speak to eight men after disorder broke out at the Birmingham City and Shrewsbury Town fixture on March 29. Earlier this week West Midlands Police released images of 16 people they wanted to speak to, and since then eight people have been identified.

    The Chinook (SHF447) flew over close to Broadway, Pershore, Evesham and Worcester, bound for North Wales this afternoon. The flight path took the military helicopter over the eastern side of Worcester at around 3.45pm, passing close to Droitwich, Ombersley and Abberley on its way north.

    Officers believe this person could help with their enquiries into an arson in Malvern on Friday (May 30). Emergency services responded to a report of a fire around 4am at The Fountain Stores on Court Road. PC Olczak said: “This person was seen in the area later in the afternoon on Friday and we believe he could help with our enquiries into the fire. “Although his face is covered, the clothing is distinctive, and I hope somebody may recognise and be able to identify them.
