(WHTM) — In tonight’s “Show Me The Money,” it’s tax filing season, and the IRS is warning of an increase in tax-related scams. An expert can help you avoid becoming a victim. Jennifer Hessing is the fraud analytics director at Wells Fargo. She says to be on the lookout for “Ghost Preparers,” fraudsters posing as tax preparers often promising larger refunds, tax credits, or benefits that in the end you don’t qualify for. “They are getting more money back,” said Hessing.

(WHTM) – Many Pennsylvanians already know the name Eugene DePasquale. He spent several years as a State Representative serving York County and went on to become Pennsylvania’s Auditor General. After an unsuccessful run for Congress against incumbent Republican Scott Perry in 2020, DePasquale has largely been out of the public spotlight, until now. The Pittsburgh native now wants to be Pennsylvania’s Attorney General after winning the April Democratic primary to be the state’s top prosecutor.
