Tyler Potwin's second-half goal secured Copper Hills' 1-0 victory over Lehi in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs. Copper Hills (5-10) advanced to face No. 2 seed American Fork in the second round. Lehi (6-11) was unable to find the back of the net, ending its postseason run. Tate Jacobs scored the only goal, securing a 1-0 victory for Syracuse against Mountain Ridge in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs.

In South Sevier's first two games of the 2A state tournament the past two days, the top-seed Rams won comfortably, taking both games early with the mercy rule. During Friday afternoon's semifinal against No. 2 seed Duchesne, South Sevier found itself in a very unusual position down a run heading into its final at-bat. Not only was its 28-game winning streak on the line - but so was the all-important berth in Saturday's state championship. South Sevier wasn't nervous at all.

After a wild day at the 3A state tournament, Grantsville's bid for a three-peat is still very much alive. After rallying from seven runs down to beat Emery in its first game on Friday, Grantsville dominated its second game against Morgan to advance to Saturday's 3A state championship at 12:30 p.m. at Spanish Fork Sports Park. Grantsville will play the winner of the Emery-Morgan elimination game at 10 a.m.The second game felt like a walk in the park after the wild ride against No. 4 seed Emery.

West Field (16-4) won 12-2 over Sky View (11-19) to sweep the series and advance to the next week's bracket play of the 4A state tournament. The Longhorns jumped out to an early lead, scoring four runs in the first inning and added six more in the third, effectively putting the game out of reach. Brylee Leatherwood powered West Field's offense, going 2 for 4 with four RBIs, while Brinklee Hadley secured the win with two strikeouts on the mound.

Dixie (16-9) won 13-5 over West Field (17-11) in a nonregion 4A playoffs game, led by Jake Andreas who went 3 for 3 with three RBIs and struck out five. The Flyers made a decisive move with a five-run surge in the third inning. West Field managed two runs in the third but was unable to keep pace. Bear River (17-7) had a strong offensive performance, winning 10-0 over Provo (18-8) in a 4A Playoffs Super Regionals matchup.
