As soon as the weather allowed, Albany-Saratoga promoter Lyle DeVore and his track crew were actively working the racing surface in preparation for the 60th anniversary season of racing at the “Great Race Place.”Weather permitting, the cars are scheduled to hit the freshened racing surface Friday for an open practice session before next Friday’s season opener, featuring the 60-lap, $7,500-to-win big block modified Super DIRTcar Series main event.

In early March, it was announced that Jason Broedel and Brett Deyo were no longer partners in ownership of Utica-Rome Speedway as Broedel bought out Deyo share of the partnership.
